Well, now that fall has arrived, it seems that my bookish life has suddenly become very busy. But that good, since I suffer from SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and books help get me from being too down in the dumps. But, oh how I yearn for those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer (*sighs deeply)
1- I did read Huntress by Malinda Lo for A More Diverse Universe blog tour. I loved Huntress and now to write my post for it. If you are interested in seeing what participants have read and written about be sure to visit Aarti at BookLust for the schedule.
2- I also read Soonchild by Russell Hoban, who is a master at myth-maker in his own right. Now, I just need to write the review on this today.
3- I complete my post for my very first blog tour on my other blog, The Children's War, which will appear tomorrow. It is for a short novel called Back to Bataan by Jerome Charyn.
4- I also finished my post on Becoming Clementine by Jennifer Niven, to be posted later this week. My friend Elizabeth over at So Much So Many So Few has already posted her review and will follow up with an interview with Jennifer Niven and then we are going to link our posts together.
5- On Friday, the Kidlitosphere is holding their annual conference right here in NYC at the New York Public Library on Friday and Saturday. It is my first time going to this and I am really looking forward to it.
6- I am in the middle of reading a book called Jump into the Sky by Shelly Pearsall, about a 13 year old African American boy sent from Chicago to North Carolina during World War II without a clue about what life is like in Jim Crow south. Well-written, but heart-rending in places.
7- Reading this mornings Sunday Salon offerings, I came across the post by Lori at Escape with Dollycas into a Good Book and the scoundrelly trick Google has done with Feedburner. And sure enough, all my subscribers has been eliminated by them because they are terminating Feedburner in October. So I took the advice of my friend Zohar over at Man of la Book and switched to Feedcat (free for now)
What's on tap for today? Late Sunday breakfast at my favorite diner, a mani/pedi desperately needed, and then I am going to start tackling my latest pile of books - and there are a lot.

What I have read on Google is that they are changing the way Feedburner works and taking one aspect out and not shutting it down.
